Anna Jeyes said: "The book will be filled with local people, local stories and local recipes!

"We are asking for people to please have a go using some Jeyes’s in their cooking and get creating recipes for our book from soups, stews, home comforts and even cocktails."

Philadelphus Jeyes’ recipe for 'Northamptonshire sauce', dating from circa 1835, was discovered in an old book in the Earls Barton heritage centre.
