Numerous businesses in and around Northampton are continuing to offer half-price food three days a week following the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The government's initiative to subsidise up to £10 in food and soft drinks per person from Monday to Wednesday during August gave a welcome boost to the hospitality industry after the coronavirus lockdown.

National chains like Pizza Hut and Wetherspoon as well as independent pubs, restaurants and cafes have decided to keep it going through September and beyond to sustain demand.

Brampton Halt

Brampton Halt pub in Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton, is offering 25 per cent off food from Monday to Wednesday throughout September.

Deliveroo

Deliveroo is knocking £5 off the bill when you order a takeaway on Mondays to Wednesdays in September.

To claim the discount, you will need to spend a minimum of £20 and use a code, which are:

EATIN1 between September 1 and 2

EATIN2 between September 7 and 9

EATIN3 between September 14 and 16

EATIN4 between September 21 and 23

EATIN5 between September 28 and 30

Lighthouse and Old House

The Lighthouse and Old House restaurants on Wellingborough Road, Northampton, have extended the offer for September with all the same rules but for eat-in bookings only.

Mitchells and Butlers (Harvester and Toby Carvery)

Customers at Mitchells and Butlers-owned restaurants can get half price main meals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until September 9.

This applies to the Harvester restaurants in Grange Park and Riverside in Northampton and Toby Carvery in London Road, East Hunsbury.

While there is no cap, the discount does not apply to drinks, starters and desserts, and you can no longer stack deals to maximise savings.

Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is doing two-for-one on main meals from Monday to Wednesday from September 7-30 but only for those who sign up online.

This applies to the restaurants at Riverside and Sixfields.

Saffron

Saffron curry house in Castilian Street is extending the scheme with all of the same rules until the end of October.

Sir Pickering Phipps

The Sir Pickering Phipps pub in Wellingborough Road, Northampton, is offering 25 per cent off food bills up to £10 per person from Monday to Wednesday throughout September.

Tamarind

Customers at Tamarind curry house in Wellingborough Road, Northampton, can get 40 per cent off food from Monday to Wednesday during September.

TGI Fridays

TGI Fridays, or Fridays, will offer free single appetisers when you order a main meal for the first two weeks of September at its Sixfields restaurant.

You also need to have the free TGI Fridays app on your smartphone to claim your free appetiser - just show the app to your server before ordering.

The Butchers Arms

The Butchers Arms in Greens Norton, near Towcester, has made a slight change to the discount by offering 50 per cent off food on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-2pm and 5.30-8.30pm.

The Church Restaurant

The Church Restaurant in Bridge Street, Northampton, is extending the scheme through September, with the same rules and the same discount.

The Market Tavern

The Market Tavern in Fish Street, Northampton, is extending the scheme through September, with the same rules and the same discount.

The Narrow Boat

The Narrow Boat pub in Weedon is extending the scheme during September, with all of the same rules.

The Parlours at Gallones

Gallone’s parlours are offering 25 per cent off Monday-Wednesday when eating in at its cafes in Kingsthorpe and Weston Favell.

The Picturedrome

The Picturedrome in Kettering Road, Northampton, is giving customers 40 per cent off food from Sunday to Thursday in September.

The Pytchley Inn

The Pytchley Inn in West Haddon is doing 'Septenner'- two courses for £10 from 12-9pm from Monday to Wednesday in September, with a different menu each week.

The Windhover

The Windhover pub in Brampton Lane, Chapel Brampton, is extending the scheme until September 9, with the same rules and the same discount.

Wetherspoon

Wetherspoon's 'stay out to help out' scheme will see prices on a range of meals and drinks reduced from Monday to Wednesday until November 11.

This applies to all Wetherspoon pubs in the UK, including The Cordwainer in The Ridings, Northampton and The Saracens Head Inn in Brook Street, Daventry.
