Danny Tompkins, who was named Chef of the Year at the 2019 Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards, has launched the service as a response to the country's third lockdown.

He said: “Life in lockdown is tough. People have so many different demands on their time, especially with the schools being closed, and parents in particular are having to prioritise home-schooling over other aspects of day-to-day life, with mealtimes often the one to miss out.

“Food is important for physical and mental health so it’s vital everyone continues to eat well, but with time at a premium I completely understand that people aren’t going to spend hours creating meals from scratch every day.

"The service allows mums and dads to get on with their work and ensuring the kids are ok with their schoolwork knowing that there’s a meal sat waiting for them in the fridge.”

Danny's menu includes classic dishses such as soups, tortillas, shepherd’s pie, and chilli.

A range of five lunches and five evening meals will be available every day, with prices starting from just £2 a dish. Deliveries will be available within a seven-mile radius of Harlestone, with a minimum order of £10.

Families can even order a whole week’s worth of meals at once to keep in the fridge and freezer for added peace of mind.

Danny, who previously worked as Earl and Countess Spencer’s personal chef, is also planning special themed menus for Burns’ Night and Valentine’s Day, with further details available via his website and social media channels.
