Northamptonshire farm park was just a field 12 years ago...now it is one of the most popular tourism attractions in the world

A Northamptonshire farm park has been voted one of the top 10 percent of tourist attractions...in the world.

Mini Meadows Farm in Welford, on the border of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, has won a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2020, The 12-acre site gained the accolade after attracting hundreds of excellent reviews from customers.

The farm park was just a field in 2008 but is now a hugely popular attraction year-round for families and schools who visit from across the country. It boasts a diverse range of large and small farm animals that visitors can feed and pet, plus indoor and outdoor play areas.

There is also a café, reservoir walk and the opportunity to take part in seasonal events which include a sellout Halloween pumpkin patch and Christmas Experience.

Ben Barraclough, founder and owner, said: “We really love what we do at the farm, and I’m proud that our team has the recognition for delivering a great experience for our loyal customers.

“This year has been really difficult for obvious reasons, but our customers came back as soon as we reopened with all the new safety guidelines in place which we really appreciate.

Only attractions that earn consistently great user reviews on Tripadvisor are awarded the Travelers’ Choice Award.
