For the past month, the Chronicle & Echo & Northants Telegraph has been working with organisations across the town and wider county to pull together a celebration of just some of the key workers and volunteers who have made a difference during lockdown.
Here we feature some of the staff at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust who were nominated for The Big Thank You.
5.
Kerry, Receptionist for Childrens Services - Kerry made this gorgeous rainbow heart display to keep our younger service users and their families smiling when they come in for their appointments.
Estelle Ambler, Community Childrens Nurse - Estelle is a senior community childrens nurse in our CATCH team (Care, Assessment and Treatment of Children at Home). This team work with GPs, acute units and other healthcare practitioners, to help children up to the age of 18 who are acutely unwell to remain with their families in their own home
Occupational Therapists sending a message of motivation to #TeamNHFT - NHFT has occupational therapists working as part of the multidisciplinary teams within its mental health, learning disability and physical health services which span inpatient beds, community based services, and specialist services such as secured services (prisons). Each day they bring creativity and imagination to NHFT and aim to provide life changing support to people who are managing illness, injuries and a huge range of mental and physical health conditions. the inclusion of Occupational Therapists into treatment plans provides an added level of support with the main aim of improving independence and empowerment of the person or people involved.
They enable people to carry out the activities ('occupations') that they need and want to do as part of their everyday lives which are essential for health, happiness and the feeling of connections to their family, friends and the communities around them. OTs can make a difference for and wit
