Children at a Northamptonshire primary school were treated to a surprise winter wonderland in the playground last week.
Reindeer, Father Christmas, a carousel, a helter-skelter, snow and Christmas trees transformed Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School's play area on Monday, December 14.

The event was organised by the Friends of Nicholas Hawksmoor after its successful 'warrior challenge' fundraiser at the school in October.
With support from many local businesses who donated Christmas trees and decorations, the school playground was transformed into a snowy wonderland.
As the children arrived in their bubbles, Santa Claus greeted them from his grotto as they were served hot chocolate and marshmallows.

The children had a magical time, with many saying that it was the most exciting day of school that they have ever had, according to the school.
Ms Curtis added: "We have had such a great day and it’s been really lovely seeing the joy in the children’s faces.
"Covid has meant the children have missed out on quite a lot of their normal enrichment activities and we were determined to put some fun into our Christmas celebrations with them.
"Sometimes we just have to think about what we can do rather than what we can’t - we have risk assessments galore but it’s been worth it!"
