We have been blown away by the acts of kindness, wholesomeness and generosity displayed by residents across the county to help others who would have otherwise found this Christmas to be particularly challenging.
Here, we take a look at just a handful of these selfless acts demonstrated by members of the public and local businesses.
5. The Lamplighter pub helps housing provider put together 250 Christmas hampers for struggling residents
The Lamplighter pub in Northampton opened up for the day to receive donations from members of the public to help local housing provider, Northampton Partnership Homes (NPH) to provide food hampers to struggling residents over the Christmas period. NPH picked up "five carloads" of donations from the pub, which helped them put together a total of 250 hampers!
6. The Trumpet pub collects more then 100 presents for children
The Trumpet in Wellingborough Road, Weston Favell collected more than 100 presents for children, courtesy of their generous customers. The Salvation Army delivered the gifts to families to ensure children had a present to wake up to on Christmas morning.
7. Weston Favell shopping centre collects presents for local charity
The Weston Favell shopping centre collected a number of gift donations for the charity, Home-Start Northampton, who support families under stress in their own homes. They received almost 100 presents to give to people using the Home-Start service, as of December 17.
8. Northampton soft play centre creates impressive festive grotto for children in hospital to virtually meet Santa
Staff at The Riverside Hub in Northampton created a grotto complete with pretty lights and a throne for Santa to sit on.The grotto was made specifically for children who were patients at Northampton General Hospital during the festive period and could not visit Santa this year.
