A Christmas themed driving experience for the whole family, complete with a laser and light show is set to launch in Northamptonshire.

Silverstone has created a Covid-safe experience at the home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, which will see drivers visit the circuit in darkness over the Christmas period.

Entitled LAP LAND, families will do a lap of the track in their own cars while a laser and light show, timed between 30 and 40 minutes, plays out around them.

A dedicated LAP LAND radio station will also add to the Christmas spirit and a drive-in cinema showing The Snowman will be available after the lap.

Launching on December 10, LAP LAND will run until January 3 and will only be closed on Christmas Day.

Bookings can be made between 4.30pm and 8.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 4.30pm and 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

Entrance is priced at £35 per car, with an additional £15 per car for the showing of The Snowman.
