The Show II - It's Alan Moore again, with this 2020 film shot at locations throughout Northampton. Ellie Bamber popped into the Chron's newsroom to research her role as a local journalist. Described by IMDb as "a man's search for a stolen artifact leads him to the haunted town filled with Voodoo gangsters, masked adventurers, Depression-era private eyes and violent chiaroscuro women", it sounds great!

The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle - This 1980 film was described by IMDb as "a rather incoherent post-breakup Sex Pistols "documentary", told from the point of view of Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren". It was filmed at various locations, including Northampton railway station.

Ground Force - The BBC1 show was filmed between 1995 and 2007 and starred Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh. One of the episodes featured the team visiting the Lowdown drop-in centre in Northampton. The team's mission was to create a garden that could also be used as a performance area in its courtyard.

Superman: Requiem - This 2011 authorised fan film featuring the Man of Steel was filmed at a number of locations across the country...including our old newsroom! The IMDb list of facts about the film says: "The scenes set at the fictional Daily Chronicle newspaper building in London were actually shot at the building of the Northampton Chronicle newspaper in Northampton, and featured only two actors, the rest were actual reporters from the real newspaper." Filming cause quite the buzz in the newsroom - our five minutes of fame!
