Ready to take a leisurely stroll down memory lane?
The Chron asked you, the readers, to tell us what Northampton buildings you miss that have been long gone.
Here are your answers - hopefully, these pictures will spark fond memories of the town we all grew up in.

9. The Peacock Hotel
In the 1950s, The Peacock Hotel was a stagecoaching inn. It was then demolished and replaced by the Peacock Way shopping centre in the eighties. Now, the Peacock Place we know today stands in its place.

10. Northampton Castle
Pictured, are the ruins of Northampton Castle. You can still find the archway near Northampton Train Station on Black Lion Hill, hence why the station was formerly known as 'Castle Station' until 1966.

11. Northampton Town FC - County Ground
The Cobblers used to play home games here from 1897 to 1994 before they moved to Sixfields Stadium. It is now home to the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.

12. Gordon Scott's Shoe Shop
Do you remember going into Gordon Scott's shoe shop and seeing Alfie the Ape swinging on the coconut trees on display?
