We have delved into the Chronicle & Echo archives for another fascinating collection of photographs of buildings and street scenes from years gone by.

Most of the photographs date back to the 1950s and 1960s and are taken form our collection of glass plate negatives. The negatives were stored without captions unfortunately. Over the years, thanks to our readers, we have pieced together information on the pictures.
