Northampton General Hospital announces changes to eye casualty service

From today, Northampton General Hospital is changing the way it runs the eye casualty service.

The service, which is usually a walk-in service, will no longer operate in this way.

Instead patients will need to phone the hospital rather than attending.

The hospital's team can provide support and medical advice over the phone, without patients needing to go hospital, however if a patients does need to go to hospital for medical help the team will arrange it.

The eye casualty service is available Monday to Saturday 8.30am - 4.30pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays the service is available from 9am - 12.30pm.
