“We are all looking forward to working with her to further improve and develop the midwifery service here at NGH and across the county as part of the Northamptonshire Local Maternity System.”

Gill Walton, chief executive of the Royal College of Midwives, added: “It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Patricia on her well-deserved leadership award, she has worked tirelessly over the past six years to transform maternity services and increase the quality of care women and their babies are receiving.”

As well as Trish, NGH is also celebrating one of their placement students from the University of Northampton, Kia Beeby-Parnham, who was shortlisted for the student midwife of the year award.

The award celebrates students who have made a difference to women, families and babies in their care.
