Six more Covid-19 related deaths at Kettering General Hospital

Five of the deaths were in a single day

Kettering General Hospital have announced six more coronavirus deaths today (Thursday, April 23).

Five of the victims at the Rothwell Road hospital died on Monday (April 20) and one died on Sunday (April 19).

This brings the total number of deaths at the hospital since the beginning of the outbreak to 78.

There were also 11 new deaths announced at Northampton General Hospital today, bringing the county total to 204.

A total of 945 people have been confirmed as Covid-19 positive in Northamptonshire, although the real total is likely to be much higher.

It is believed there have been many more deaths in the community and in care homes that are not currently included in the daily figures.

So far today, there have been a further 589 deaths announced across the UK. The figures are correct as of 5pm last night.
