School donates PPE equipment to Northampton General to help the fight against coronavirus

A school in Northampton has donated much-needed PPE equipment to help health workers in the fight against COVID-19.
While closed due to the lockdown, Northampton School for Girls in Spinney Hill donated 411 pairs of safety goggles, as well as other PPE equipment to the NHS.

Hide AdAfter checking the stock of the science department, the school asked Northampton General Hospital which items were needed, to make sure the donation was useful.
Cath Carre, acting co-head of the school said: “It wasn’t just safety goggles that were needed.
“We also donated protective gloves and disposable aprons.”
Natasha Cobby, a former student at Northampton School for Girls who now works as a staff nurse in the A&E department at Northampton General, thanked the school via its Twitter page for its donations.
Cath added: “We will help in any way we can.
“A lot of our children’s parents work at the hospital so it’s all part of our community.”
