President Neil Hufton said the lockdown has made it difficult for some members to get out in the community but they still want to meet people's immediate needs.

“It is also important that we deliver our commitments to local charities," he said.

"So this week we have brought forward our donations totalling £7,500 to Northampton Alzheimer’s (£3,000), Northampton First Responders (£3,000), Young Carers (£1,000), Northampton Breast Friends (£500)”.

This has now been distributed to Cynthia Spencer Hospice (£4,500), The Hope Centre (£1,000) and the charity Lowdown (£2,500).
