As we mark the one-year anniversary of the first national lockdown, the we take a look back at the Chronicle & Echo front pages that featured coronavirus, the impact of the pandemic and how we as a community responded.
The first mention of coronavirus on the front page of the Chron was on March 5, 2020, after the first case was confirmed in the county.
On March 19, the scale of the situation started to become clear as we moved towards lockdown. The feeling was very much that we stood united as a community to deal with what was to come.
On March 26, the Chron's front page featured pictures of health workers giving their thanks to the community for their support. We also launched our eight-page puzzles section to give readers something to do during lockdown.
Our front page on April 2 moved away from coronavirus in terms of the lead story, but the paper featured some of the many "inspirational acts of kindness" that were being shown throughout Northampton
