More than 60 children self-isolating after confirmed Covid-19 case at Northampton primary school

A year group bubble from a primary school in Northampton is self-isolating due to a single positive Covid-19 case.

Chiltern Primary School in Chiltern Way, Duston has 63 pupils at home, as well as seven members of staff.

The Year 4 bubble will be returning to school after their two weeks self-isolation on Wednesday (September 30).

The school has also confirmed this is the only confirmed case.

A spokeswoman for the school said: "A year 4 child has tested positive and her bubble of 63 children and seven staff are isolating until Tuesday September 29; returning to school on September 30.

“There have been no other confirmed cases within that isolating bubble.
