Free coronavirus testing is taking place on Brackmills Industrial Estate this week – part of the BID’s commitment to getting people back to work safely.

Testing, supported by Brackmills BID, is taking place daily at Startech.com, on Gowerton Road until September 11 from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

She said: “We were testing all of last week and this week, and have tested hundreds of people, well over 200 every day.

"Some of those people live in the area and others work on the estate. Some people brought their children ahead of their return to school.

"You do not need to have symptoms or be concerned that you have the virus to get a test. Everyone is welcome and we are delighted to be supporting another week of testing. “

The BID has funded two portable toilets for staff manning the testing centre, to ensure no one needs to access businesses premises unnecessarily.

Tests can be booked here or by calling 119. If you have booked in advance, take your registration details or QR code with you.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus, however mild, or you have been in close contact with someone who has had symptoms, you should self-isolate and get a test as soon as you can.

The main symptoms of coronavirus are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, change or loss of sense of smell or taste.

You do not need to have symptoms to have a test and those who have been tested will get the results via email within 48 hours.
