According to a member of staff, around ten people came into contact with the person who tested positive last week.

In response to the positive test, the company has implemented a 'contingency plan'.

An Amey spokeswoman said: "We were alerted to a case of Covid-19 in our Area 7 highways maintenance team last week.

"To ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees, all other employees who potentially came into contact with this case have been asked to self-isolate and our site has implemented an agreed and tested contingency plan.
