Here's the extra guidance to follow in Northampton and Corby to slow to spread of Covid-19
Health chiefs plea to work from home, limit contact with others, avoid car sharing and public transport
Health chiefs in Northamptonshire are urging residents of Northampton and Corby to take extra safety measures to avoid a local lockdown as Covid-19 infection rates rise in the towns.

New government guidance introduced over the weekend suggests people do not now need to work from home and can follow a "one metre-plus" rule instead of staying two metres apart at all times.
The two-metre social distancing rule and advice to work from home when you can still applies to Northampton and Corby, along with pleas to limit contact with anyone outside your own household or bubble:
Keep two metres from others at all times
Limit contact with anyone outside of your household or bubble
If you must meet those outside of your household or bubble, meet in an outdoor space
Do not share items with others outside of your household or bubble
If social distancing at two metres is not possible, always use a face covering
Avoid using public transport or car sharing. Wear face coverings if you must travel with others
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly for 20 seconds each time
Work from home if you can
Multi team sports gatherings and tournaments across Northamptonshire have been paused until further notice
Visiting times to residents of care homes are restricted
Testing units are set up in Northampton, Kettering and Corby on Monday and anyone with even mild symptoms — high temperature, continuous new cough, a loss of smell or taste — or believe they may have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, are being urged to get tested.
