Employee at large Northampton business tests positive for coronavirus

An employee at the Nationwide office in Northampton has tested postive for coronavirus.

The worker at Nationwide's administration centre in Moulton Park is self-isolating while their floor and where they had visited has been cleaned.

A Nationwide spokesman said: “We can confirm that an employee based in our Northampton admin centre has tested positive for coronavirus.

"They were already self-isolating and following NHS advice, and we wish them a speedy recovery. 

"Our priority is the wellbeing of the individual, as well as colleagues and visitors to the building and the local community. 

“As a precaution we deep cleaned their floor and areas where they had visited in the building.

"We have followed official advice and the building remains open for other colleagues.

"All Nationwide services for our members are operating as normal and they can continue to manage their money online, via our contact centres and in branch.

"Our aim is always to protect our colleagues and members, and we continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the advice of Public Health England.”
