Can you become a much-needed volunteer for the United African Association?
Volunteers from UAA have been delivering food parcels to households in need since Boris Johnson announced the lockdown measures on March 23 in a televised address to the nation.
They have also been making phone calls to people referred to them by Northampton Borough Council and are helping people such as care workers and their families whose incomes have been drastically affected recently.

Hide AdUAA volunteers Anne, David, Pedro and Catarina have used Northampton Partnership Homes’ (NPH) Leicester Street Community Hub as a base to make up food parcels with the food they’ve bought before they go on to deliver them to those in need.
They are currently supporting 18 families and they hope to be able to reach more families in Northampton’s BAME community.
But to do this, the group are looking for more vital volunteers to help their efforts.
If you would like to volunteer and you are not shielding, self-isolating or in a high-risk group, please email [email protected].
