The boss of a Northampton gym company is urging the Government to stick to the road map out of lockdown, which will allow leisure centres to reopen in April.

Trilogy, which operates Danes Camp, The Mounts, Duston, Lings Forum and Cripps Recreation Centre at Northampton General Hospital, has been shut since the beginning of the year, following two closures last year.

The chief of Trilogy has said gyms are ready to open safely and members need to be able to use the facilities, so is calling on the Government to stick to the road map.

Managing director of Trilogy, John Fletcher, said: “We are pleased that the Government has recognised the important role gyms and leisure centres play in the health of the nation and that we feature in the earliest stage of the roadmap for re-opening indoor venues on April 12.

“We have the procedures in place and are ready to open safely and securely to ensure all our members can return to use our services in a Covid safe way.
