Bosworth Independent School has unveiled details for its autumn open day, with reservations now being taken for school tours to see the facilities and meet the leadership and teaching teams.

The private independent day and boarding school has places for pupils from Year 7 to Year 13. One of its stand-out features is the remarkably small class sizes, averaging just 12 pupils per class, which allows teaching staff quality time to spend on topics with each pupil. In the supportive environment, students are encouraged to develop their personal talents and interests and aim for academic success.

It prides itself on offering a broad and challenging academic curriculum. Results have been impressive, with a history of academic success at GCSE and A-Level. Former pupils have gone on to attend Oxbridge and other top UK universities and obtained entry to highly competitive degree courses. Alongside a focus on academic excellence, the school enriches the student experience with diverse co-curricular programme, including rugby, cricket, Duke of Edinburgh Award, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art qualification (LAMDA) and many more.

A warm welcome

Jason Lewis, Headmaster, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming parents and prospective students to our open day. Bosworth Independent School is a place where individuals thrive. Our students achieve excellent results in their examinations, often progressing to top universities and follow their dreams and interests.

“We nurture every student’s creativity and curiosity by combining a traditional educational approach with engaging co-curricular learning and tailored support. Join us on October 14th to see how Bosworth enables students to achieve academic excellence and pursue their goals.”

Aiming high

Not only are pupils supported to develop a strong UCAS application which highlights their individual strengths as much as their academic qualifications, they are helped to prepare for successful admission tests and interviews. The school has a particular interest in supporting students who are undertaking extremely competitive courses. The preparation programme supports those wanting to study medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science through tailored support and prep. Students are also supported to find relevant work and voluntary experience for their chosen degree course.

Alongside that bold academic ambition is a strong pastoral support network, which nurtures students and supports them to thrive in every way. This means that there is success beyond the classroom, creating a generation of creative, flexible thinkers.

Away from the classroom, art and sport are among the co-curricular activities which are arranged to give your child a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding time at school.

Michael Hodgson, Deputy Headmaster, added: “At Bosworth, our aim is to develop confident, independent learners. We strive to nurture individual talents and passions to facilitate students in thriving on their academic and personal journeys.”
