First primary school joins growing Northamptonshire Trust

A Northamptonshire-based school Trust has welcomed its first primary school, marking another step forward in its mission to empower more young people with world-class experiences and opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
Established in 2021 from its founding school, Southfield School for Girls in Kettering, Orbis Education Trust has since grown to include Kingsthorpe College in Northampton, and the proposed new school at Hanwood Park - building a strong and inclusive community of local schools, united by shared values and ambition.
Now, with Hunsbury Park Primary School joining the Trust, Orbis is looking forward to working with staff and pupils to deliver a bespoke, inclusive curriculum and inspiring enrichment experiences that nurture confidence, aspiration and ambition.
Chief Executive of Orbis Steph Roberts said: “At Orbis, we’re passionate about empowering every young person to thrive - through a world-class education and exceptional experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and joy in learning.
“Empowerment is central to everything we do as a Trust, and our schools work hard to remove barriers, level the playing field and open up opportunities for our brilliant pupils, staff and wider communities. We are so pleased to formally welcome Hunsbury Park School community and look forward to building on the strong partnership already underway.”
Hunsbury Park Primary School Executive Headteacher Dan York said: “We’re delighted to be joining such an ambitious and supportive Trust. Even before formally joining, Orbis has helped us expand the experiences we can offer our pupils. Together, we’re empowering every child to grow in confidence and creativity - and we’re excited to continue that journey as full members of the Orbis family.”
