Northampton School for Boys has a rich history in the town, starting as a grammar school in 1541. Here are just some of the many former pupils who have gone on to achieve great things.
5. Antoine Allen
Broadcast journalist Antoine Allen, born in 1987, attended Northampton School for Boys. He was competed in 400m hurdles at a high level, as well as the high jump. As well as reporting for ITV news, Antoine has done a number of documentaries. Apparently, he also set the world record in 2013 for thee most electrical energy generated by pedalling a bicycle in one minute, after creating a 16,200 joules. Photo: ITV News
6. Steve Thompson
Born in July 1978, Steve Thompson began playing rugby while he was at Northampton School for Boys and went on to play for Northampton Saints and England. He was part of the winning World Cup team in 2003. Photo: Tom Dulat
