But anyone who wishes to tell the developers what they think of the proposed two-form entry academy to the south-west of Boughton before a planning application is submitted must do so quickly.

"In advance of the submission of the planning application to Daventry District Council, we would welcome your feedback and comments on the proposed planning application," the consultation page says.

"Further information will accompany the planning submission and you will have the opportunity to make additional comments during the 21-day statutory consultation period."

At capacity, Buckton Fields Primary School will offer 420 places and will include state-of-the-art teaching and sporting facilities for use of the pupils and the wider community.

Landscaping and tree planting are also proposed as well as cycle and car parking for staff and visitors.

The school forms part of the larger 'Whitehills sustainable urban extension' approved in 2011, which includes 1,050 homes, with some already built.

It will be part of Preston Hedge’s Academy Trust, which includes Preston Hedges Primary School in Wootton Fields and Parklands Primary School in Spinney Hill Road.

To take part in the consultation, email your comments to [email protected] or send them to Tim Byrne, Planning, Development & Heritage, JLL Austin House, Stannard Place, St Crispins Road, Norwich NR3 1YF.
