Campion School celebrates appointment of principal Kim Bradley-Smith

Last week, students and staff at Campion School were pleased to hear that after becoming Interim Principal earlier this year, Mrs Kim Bradley-Smith has been appointed substantive Principal at the school.
Against a national field of strong candidates, Mrs Bradley-Smith stood out for her passion, drive and integrity. Since she was appointed Interim Principal in February, Mrs Bradley-Smith has led the school with a commitment to driving forward excellence and securing strong outcomes for students, no matter their background or starting point. Her permanent position will also ensure stability and continuity of leadership at the school.
Her appointment cements what is an exciting chapter for Campion School, following strong exam results over the summer. At A Level, the school’s results were the best in recent years and saw many of the school’s students gain places at a range of top universities. Particular successes included two students who both achieved an impressive four A*s and secured places at the University of Oxford, to read Law and Chemistry respectively.
Lola Russell, Year 12 student at Campion School, said: “As students we are extremely excited for Mrs Bradley-Smith to continue here at Campion School as the amazing Headteacher we all know she is!”

Sebastain Maund, a Year 13 student at Campion School, added: “Since joining the school, Mrs Bradley-Smith has always shown her passion for making everyone's learning experience at Campion the best it can possibly be and it’s amazing to see that she has been given the opportunity to do so even more as Principal.”
A parent of a student at Campion said: “Mrs Bradley-Smith has been nothing short of incredible. As a teacher, a leader and as a person, she has shown kindness, understanding and dedication that goes far beyond what anyone could expect. Mrs Bradley-Smith is a true credit to Campion School and to everyone who works there. We are genuinely grateful for everything she has done for our child.”
Speaking about her appointment, Kim Bradley-Smith said: “It is fantastic to now be leading Campion School as substantive Principal following my time in the Interim post. This is a really exciting time at Campion, and I am thrilled to lead a school with such wonderful students and staff who are committed to being the best they can be. Over the coming months, there is so much to look forward to at Campion and I would like to thank students and staff alike for all they do to make the school an excellent place to learn and teach.”
Chris Clyne, Regional Director at United Learning, said: “Mrs Bradley-Smith’s appointment as Principal is well-deserved, reflecting her strong leadership skills and dedication to raising aspirations at Campion School. Against a national field of excellent candidates, Mrs Bradley-Smith impressed the recruitment panel with her strong track record, enthusiasm and ambition for the school, and we look forward to her taking the academy from strength to strength.”
