Weston Favell’s Community Mural

Got ideas for the mural? Meet with artist Sarah to share your input!
Weston Favell Shopping Centre is excited to announce the return of talented mural artist Sarah Hodgkins, the creative mind behind the much-loved underpass mural near the centre. After receiving incredible feedback from the community about her previous work, we are thrilled to welcome her back for a brand-new project.
This initiative builds on our previous partnership with Billing Brook School, which saw the creation of a vibrant mural along one of the centre’s walkways. To extends on the 50th anniversary celebrations, we have invited Sarah to create a new mural that reflects 50 years of Weston Favell— history, diversity, and unity.
This new Mural will serve as a permanent tribute to our community and bring colour and meaning to a space that so many of us pass through every day and will continue to grow over the years. This time, we want you all to be part of the creative journey.

To ensure this mural truly represents our community, we’re inviting everyone, residents, schools, organisations, and shoppers to contribute. There will be both physical and digital forms available for you to share your thoughts, memories, and visual ideas about what Weston Favell means to you, and you’ll also have a chance to speak with the artist directly on Tuesday 17th June from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Saturday 12th July from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.Visit us on either day for an in-person conversation with the artist herself. She’ll be on-site to meet with members of the public, listen to your stories, gather input, and inspire ideas that will be woven into the final design. If you're unable to see her on those days, you can still get involved by submitting your ideas through her website, Charlotte Designs.
