The Museum's Jetstream restoration continues

The Sywell Aviation Museum has had an extremely busy year! 2025 saw efforts concentrating on its 1969-built Handley Page Jetstream airliner G-RAVL which has now reached the primer stage with a view to a top coat of paint in 2026. Thereafter plans will see her cabin kitted out as a classroom for younger visitors to explore.

Opened in 2001, the Museum charts the rich history of aviation in Northamptonshire, located at Sywell Aerodrome. Entry is free meaning that the Museum volunteers rely on donations to survive.

Each spring the Museum holds a Book and Model Sale to raise funds to continue to both keep the Museum open and to conclude the Jetstream restoration. With that in mind, the Museum is seeking the donation of model kits, diecast models, model paints, accessories, aviation books etc in readiness for the sale next year. All the restoration work undertaken has been funded by donations so you can see the result of your support!

If you can help by donating items please email [email protected] or call 07968061708.

Thank you very much.
