Race The Night ignites Towcester Racecourse: A new endurance running experience for all

A Race Reimagined: Run Hard, Run Far, Run Together

Set against the historic backdrop of Towcester’s former horse racing track, Race The Night Towcester invites participants to push their limits by completing as many 2.7km laps as possible over 4 hours on a closed, traffic-free course. With a flexible format that suits solo runners, duos and teams of four, this isn’t just another race, it’s a celebration of endurance, camaraderie and community spirit.

Whether you’re chasing a personal milestone, enjoying a night out with friends, or stepping into endurance racing for the first time, there’s a place for you on the start line. The event begins at 6:30PM and runs through to 10:30PM, with the atmosphere building as daylight fades and the course comes alive.

What to Expect on Race Night

Participants can look forward to:

Solo, Duo & Team Relay Options: Compete alone, rotate with a friend, or develop team tactics with a group of four.
Festival Style Race Village: Lights, music, street food, live results, chill out zones and licensed bar.
Live Leaderboards & Chip Timing: Track lap counts and standings in real time throughout the evening.
Finisher’s Medal & Official Photography: Every participant earns a medal and professionally captured race memories.
After-Party Until 12:30AM: Celebrate performances alongside runners, supporters and spectators once the final laps are complete.
Spectator Friendly Viewing: With free access and excellent visibility around the course, friends and family can cheer runners on all night long.

Built for All Abilities

Race The Night is designed to be inclusive and strategic. Participants don’t need to run continuously, they can pace themselves, refuel, take breaks or swap runners within their team. Success is as much about smart planning as it is about physical endurance.

Race The Night is organised by BCS Events, a Milton Keynes based events company responsible for the longstanding MK Winter Half Marathon, held each December.
