Northants Community Aid relaunches as GIVE Northants to expand support for local charities

A Northampton-based charity is entering an exciting new chapter as Northants Community Aid relaunches under a new name: GIVE Northants.
The new identity — GIVE Northants (Grants for Impact, Value and Empowerment) — reflects the organisation’s growing ambition to connect more local businesses with grassroots charities and increase its impact across the county.
GIVE Northants provides grants of up to £2,000 to small, Northamptonshire-based charities, funding practical projects that address real community needs. By bringing together support from local businesses, the organisation makes it simple for companies to give back to their communities through one trusted partnership.
With new leadership and a refreshed strategy, the charity is now focused on growing its network of business supporters and extending support to even more grassroots organisations.

Chair Sam Sayer said:
“This relaunch is about clarity, growth and impact. There are so many incredible small charities doing vital work locally, but they often struggle to access funding. At the same time, many businesses want to give back but don’t know where to start or how to choose.
GIVE Northants brings those two together — making local giving simple, effective and meaningful.”
Supporting grassroots organisations across Northamptonshire
Since its launch, the charity has funded a wide range of local initiatives, including:
- Inclusive canal trips for people with disabilities through Crusader Community Boating
- Specialist equipment for Favell Day Services, supporting adults with complex needs
- Inclusive physical activity programmes through Sports4Fitness
- Youth and family support services at Rush2TheDen
These smaller projects often struggle to secure funding but make a significant difference to local communities.
Kathryn Ozlati, founder of St Giles Jewellers and trustee, said:
“We’re proud to support organisations that are making a real difference every day. These are grassroots charities that know their communities and deliver practical help where it’s needed most.”
A simple way for businesses to give locally
Long-term supporter Lee Ives, Director of Lives Electrical, said:
“Working with GIVE Northants allows us to support multiple local causes through one partnership. We know our contribution is making a genuine difference and helping strengthen our community.”
By supporting GIVE Northants, businesses can contribute to a wide range of local causes, demonstrating meaningful local impact while helping smaller charities thrive.
Official launch event
The relaunch will be marked with a business networking and celebration event on:
