Crufts, held annually at the National Exhibition Centre, attracts tens of thousands of visitors and competitors from across the globe. This year, however, Junior’s appearance was particularly special. While dogs are generally not permitted to attend the event unless they are competing, 2026 also saw a total ban on flat-faced breeds entering the venue unless they were competing in the show ring.
Junior was able to attend after undergoing an official health assessment with the Kennel Club, where he received a RFG certificate confirming that he has healthy airways and clear breathing, allowing him to be granted access as a special guest.
During his visit, Junior and his owner Michelle were given exclusive access to the Crufts press room, where they mingled with celebrities and some of the biggest names in dog-related social media.
Among those Junior met was TV personality Pete Wicks and presenter Amanda Holden. He also had a private meeting with internet sensation Good Boy Ollie, whose accounts have a combined following of more than 10 million people worldwide. In a moment that delighted Junior’s growing fanbase, Ollie even followed Junior’s Instagram account after the meeting.
Junior also spent time meeting brands exhibiting at Crufts and was able to capture behind-the-scenes content from inside the show, offering followers a rare look at the event through the eyes of a canine guest.
Adding to the excitement, Junior was photographed at the event for an online feature by Vogue, marking another milestone for the little pug who has quickly become a rising star in the pet influencer world.
Junior’s owner Michelle said the experience was unforgettable.
“Crufts is the biggest dog show in the world, so to be invited as a content creator was incredible. Junior brought so many smiles to people’s faces while we were there. Seeing people stop, laugh and take photos of him was really special.”
With thousands of followers already and growing international attention, Junior Bear Pug’s Crufts debut shows that even the smallest dogs can make a big impact on the world stage.
