Northamptonshire housebuilder team braves fire walk in fundraising challenge for charity

Thirteen employees at Barratt Homes Northampton recently took part in a charity fire walk, braving hot coals to raise funds for local charity, KidsAid.
The team raised an impressive £6,208, making the event both a memorable experience and a hugely successful fundraising challenge.
KidsAid is a Northampton-based charity that focuses on the prevention, healing and empowerment for children and families affected by abuse, family breakdown, illness, and bereavement through to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide.
Charlotte Cornish, Fundraising Manager at KidsAid, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Barratt Homes Northampton who took part in the fire walk and helped raise such an amazing amount for KidsAid. Taking on a challenge like this takes real bravery, and their efforts will make a meaningful difference to the children, young people and families we support across Northamptonshire.”

As Barratt Homes Northampton’s charity of the year, KidsAid will benefit from a range of corporate fundraising events taking place over the year.
Those who took part in the fire walk included the division’s Managing Director, Simon Francis, as well as other employees from a range of departments.
Simon said: “We are proud to support a charity that plays such an important role in our community. Taking part in the fire walk was an incredible experience and doing it for KidsAid is what made every step worthwhile.
“Our team showed real courage and commitment, and I’m incredibly proud of our efforts to help the charity continue its fantastic work.”
