Athena Activities run several different sessions during their Holiday Camps, so children can choose which activities they’d like to try.

For more than 15 years, Athena Activities has provided wraparound and school holiday care for families in Kettering, Corby and surrounding villages.

Athena Activities are a selected deliverer of the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme, ensuring that children eligible for free school meals and pupil premium can access nutritious food and activities outside of the school term. This support is given in the form of Holiday Activity Camps which are designed to meet each child’s creative, sporting, nutritional and wellbeing needs.

During the holiday camps, every child is given a healthy lunch and snack and offered a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to choose from. Options include football, tag rugby, dodgeball, arts and crafts, filmmaking and cooking.

Following a grant from Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Poverty Hurts Fund, Athena Activities were able to offer free entry to their October Half-Term Holiday Activity Camp for children in Corby who are eligible for support through the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, which is unavailable during October Half Term.

The Poverty Hurts Fund was born from Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Poverty Hurts fundraising appeal and supports local organisations in their work to tackle poverty and inequality across the county.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation is the county’s leading independent grant-making charity, providing much-needed and often life-changing grants to some of Northamptonshire’s most in-need residents. Since its inception in 2001, the foundation has awarded more than £24 million in grants.
