Leo Mistry, aged 10, excelled at Northampton Caroline Chisholm School’s recent science fair, with a display about how a modern toilet works.

The year 6 student showed great initiative by reaching out to major toilet brands to ask for spare toilet parts for his display. British-heritage bathroom company Thomas Crapper & Co. were more than happy to help; they sent Leo books to help him with his research and parts of toilets to showcase on his impressive display.

Leo's display featured interactive elements and well-researched information about modern toilet systems, including fun facts about more sustainable toilet options. Leo also included a timeline of the history of the toilet, making Thomas Crapper & Co. the perfect brand to support his scientific project, due to their monumental influence on modern toilet systems.

Paul Dwyer, the Managing Director of Thomas Crapper and Co., said “When we were approached to help Leo with his presentation we had no hesitation. It is great to see the story and heritage of our 19th century brand come to life and resonating with younger generations. Well done Leo for all your hard work!”

The display was a great success and received lots of interest, with Leo confidently answering questions from guests about how modern toilets work!
