Moulton Leisure Centre to get new pool floor for Christmas
Work is set to begin on a new, state-of-the-art swimming pool floor at Moulton Leisure Centre next month.
The £700,000 project will see the existing main pool floor upgraded at the centre, via funding from West Northamptonshire Council, who work in partnership with facility operator Everyone Active.
The project is set to begin on Thursday, November 21, with the pool reopening on Monday, December 23. The rest of the centre will remain open as normal during this period.
Industry experts Variopool will install the movable floor, which allows the centre to cater for swimmers of all ages and abilities, as well as a variety of different aquatic activities.

For the short period the pool is closed, members are being encouraged to use the pools at Daventry Leisure Centre and the newly-refurbished Harborough Leisure Centre.
Moulton Leisure Centre caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities – from complete beginners all the way up to elite level, such as four-times Paralympic gold medallist Maisie Summers-Newton, who swims with Northampton Swimming Club.
Andrew Joy, Everyone Active’s general manager, said: “It’s great news that Moulton Leisure Centre will be getting a new, state-of-the-art pool floor. This will enable us to continue to host a variety of activities in our main pool both now and into the future.
“We apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause and we will be in contact with all affected customers to discuss reimbursement. However, we are confident that in the long term, the upgrades will allow us to provide a reliable service for the local community.”
