Male Choir's Anniversary Concert
On Saturday 18 April, the award-winning Northampton Male Voice Choir (NMVC) conducted by Musical Director, Stephen Bell, will present its 80th Anniversary Concert, featuring a debut performance from the extra special guest choir, ‘Men United in Song’
This promises to be a magical night, bursting with music to entertain you, with a fantastic range of songs from the choir’s current repertoire plus an exciting selection of fabulous, brand new material.
Musical, Director, Stephen, said ‘This is a real treat of a concert. NMVC will be joined by a brand new Choir, formed as a result of NMVC’s ‘Men United in Song 26’ campaign earlier this year, in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
NMVC Chairman, Mark York, added ‘Most of the men taking part in our ‘Men United in Song 26’ project this year were totally new to choral singing and performing in public. They nevertheless took on the epic task of learning ten songs in just ten weeks, in order to perform in our Anniversary Concert. In all, well over 100 men will be lined up to perform for you, so get your tickets now – we’re anticipating a sell-out concert.
The concert will be held in Christ Church, Northampton, NN1 5LL, starting at 7.00pm.
