Finance company extends annual donation pledge to support Northamptonshire charity

OCM Wealth Management is a family-run business based in Northamptonshire, specialising in Chartered Financial Planning, Discretionary Asset Management and Tax Planning. In November 2022, the company made the decision to redirect their Christmas client gift hamper budget towards supporting a local food bank. After approaching The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation and learning more about the scale of its work, OCM pledged a monthly donation of £1,000 throughout 2023.

Since then, OCM has renewed its support for three consecutive years, contributing a total of £38,000 to the charity so far, and with this year’s commitment it will total £53,000 by the end of 2026.

TMDF Founder Teresa McCarthy-Dixon described OCM’s sponsorship as “nothing short of a lifeline”. She explained: “Demand for our services has been rising from the day we started our charity, and securing the funds needed to support our work is often exceptionally challenging.”

OCM’s financial support has helped TMDF sustain many of its essential services, including their Food & Essentials Hub, specialised support for school families, three weekly social clubs, and wider community outreach services. Reflecting on the impact of the partnership, Teresa said: “OCM’s continued commitment has allowed thousands of Northamptonshire people to access resources in times of crisis, fight back against social isolation, rebuild their confidence, and so much more. On behalf of everyone our charity supports, we truly cannot thank them enough.”

This December, OCM confirmed it will continue its support throughout 2026, increasing its monthly contribution to £1,250 in recognition the ongoing cost of living pressures affecting the charity and its service users.

The renewed pledge marks the fourth consecutive year of OCM’s donations and will help TMDF continue responding to growing need across Northamptonshire. Teresa described: “We are absolutely over the moon to know OCM will be supporting our charity for another year. Donations like this make an unimaginable difference, and will better the lives of so many local people in the year ahead.”
