England Rugby CEO visits Northampton Casuals
The Chief Executive Officer of the RFU, Bill Sweeney, visited Northampton Casuals RFC last week.
Bill Sweeney met with club representatives to find out more about the grassroots rugby environment at the club this week.
A range of our committee members, volunteers and coaches met Bill and gave him a real insight into the successes and challenges that we face as a club. The wide-ranging conversation covered facilities, league structures, player retention, the growth of the game and our own ambitions for club development into the future.
Bill was presented with a club shield and book about the history of Casuals - and met several muddy players from the Under 14 and Under 16s Girls teams!
