Community spirit blooms at Elm Bank Care Home with generous pumpkin donation
Residents and staff at Elm Bank Care Home in Kettering, recently embraced the spirit of autumn with a wonderful kind donation of pumpkins from West Lodge Farm Park in Desborough.
This heart-warming gesture beautifully highlights the vital role of community in supporting local care homes and their residents. Activities co-ordinator Tina, collected the donation with the Home Service Advisor Louise, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet the staff at West Lodge Farm Park and thank them in person.
Activities Co-ordinator Tina said: “The pumpkins were kindly donated to us by West Lodge Farm Park in Desborough and what a delight they created for our residents living with dementia. It is really important to say that the surrounding community means so much to us and this donation only strengthens the relationship between the home and the local community.”
General Manager Larisa Bledea said: “Acts of generosity from local businesses, like West Lodge Farm Park, build crucial bridges between the care home and the community. It really shows that residents are remembered and valued.”
