Community pub fundraising for a defibrillator

The Old Bank in Kingsley is set to raise money to purchase a defibrillator for the community.
On Sunday 30th November The Old Bank of Kingsley Park Terrace are set to raise money to purchase a defibrillator machine which will be installed outside the premises and registered with the emergency services. The cost of the device is around £1200. The stand alone external wall cabinet requires a power source as this is a heated case so we are also looking for a local company to install this for us. Kingsley is a beautiful place to live and has a fantastic giving community
There will be live music on the day with Richard Prendiville of The Heathtones, winner of the best male vocalist at the Texas Country Music Awards 2025 performing the very best in Country & Irish, 60s and many more hits. There will be a raffle with many prizes that have been donated from the community and Prendiville Taverns. We have raised well over half of the money already. One of our biggest supporters was one of our entertainers “Reggae Ray” who donated his singing fee of £250 to our collection.
Markie Prendiville, director of The Old Bank (Prendiville Taverns) has a personal interest in raising money to purchase this machine after losing his mother in 2008 after she suffered a cardiac arrest, sadly at the time there was not a defibrillator in place at the time and as much as the emergency services attempted to talk me through CPR process sadly she passed away by the time the paramedics arrived.

By having this equipment on hand for the community, should anyone go through the same experience as I did hopefully this may well save a life. If we could raise enough to purchase more than 1 device we would love to donate this to another part of the town that requires it. By making more defibrillators accessible the better the chance of survival for a victim of cardiac arrest.
Any local companies that wish to support our cause with a donation or prize can contact Markie on 01604 714200 or pop in to the pub. All donations will be kindly appreciated.
