Charlotte and Lee waltz away with Strictly Northampton 2025 crown

Strictly Northampton 2025 delivered an unforgettable evening of glamour, rhythm and heartfelt stories – and it was Charlotte Whitestone and her father, professional dancer Lee Whitestone, who stole the spotlight, lifting the glitterball trophy after eight weeks of dedication and dazzling performances.
Charlotte, 28, trained tirelessly alongside Lee, mastering three routines: an elegant Waltz, a high-energy Jive, and a lively Steps-themed group dance. Their hard work paid off with near-perfect scores across the board. The Jive earned 10, 10, 10 and 9; the Waltz matched that feat with three 10s and a 9; and the group dance secured their place in the final with four flawless 10s.
The only debate during training? Which dance to perform in the final if they made it. Charlotte championed the Waltz for its elegance, while Lee believed the Jive was their strongest routine. In the end, Lee’s instincts proved right – the Jive carried them to victory against seven other talented couples, all of whom delivered outstanding performances.
Adding to the family spirit of the evening, Charlotte’s brother-in-law, Ryan Blunt, also took to the stage for the first time, making the event even more special for the Whitestone family.

Beyond the glitter and glamour, the event raised nearly £50,000 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice, with Charlotte personally raising over £1,700. The charity holds a special place in her heart, as the hospice cared for her beloved Grandad in his final days. “Sharing this journey with my Dad has been so special,” Charlotte said after the win.
Lee added: “I can’t believe it. To dance on this stage with my daughter is something I will never forget. It’s been an experience of a lifetime.”
Lee is no stranger to the Strictly Northampton stage. He first appeared as a contestant in 2016, earning the People’s Choice Award despite missing out on the final. Returning as a professional the following year, he claimed back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. This year’s triumph with Charlotte marks a new chapter in his Strictly story – and one that will be remembered for years to come.
The event was expertly organised by Step by Step Dance School’s director, Andrzej Mialowski, whose infectious energy and passion for dance have kept the show thriving for 14 incredible years. His commitment ensures that Strictly Northampton remains a highlight of the local calendar, blending entertainment with charitable giving.
Strictly Northampton 2025 wasn’t just about dance – it was about family, community and making a difference. And for Charlotte and Lee Whitestone, it was truly a night to remember.
