Campion School students and staff unite to spread festive cheer

Students and staff at Campion School have been putting together hampers to bring festive cheer and vital support to families in need.
Each form group from Years 7 to 13 was challenged to transform an ordinary cardboard box into a festive hamper. Students were given suggestions for items to donate but had the freedom to contribute whatever they could from the list.
After all the hampers were assembled, the judging panel selected their top three designs which earned prizes and bonus green points.
Through the initiative, students demonstrated two of the school’s core values of integrity and respect by giving back to the community. Staff were also invited to purchase a food staple for each of the first 12 days of December, earning 50 bonus points per completed box for their House.
The hampers were donated to families within the school community who need a little extra support and to Bugbrooke Food Bank and Food Aid Alliance, which serve Bugbrooke and the surrounding villages.
Teacher Paul Akehurst said: "The creativity on display has been inspiring, and the judges faced a tough decision selecting the top three hamper designs. Last year, our initiative reached over 120 families. This year, we have extended that impact even further. Together, we’ve shown that small acts of kindness can make a big difference."
