Weston Favell Shopping Centre issues warning to customers after 'overwhelming' amount of shoppers

Entrances at Weston Favell Shopping Centre have been closed due to the 'overwhelming' amount of shoppers this morning (Friday, March 27).
All non-essential shops at the centre have been shut since Tuesday while food stores, grocers, pharmacies, banks, and the Post Office can stay open during the coronavirus 'lockdown'.

Hide AdBut every day this week, staff have seen a large number of visitors with warnings published on social media not to come if you do not have to.
"We are having to close off entrances again due to the overwhelming amount of shoppers heading to the centre," Weston Favell Shopping Centre posted on Facebook at 9.30am.
"Please stay at home and only come out if absolutely necessary.
"Tesco is only open to the elderly this morning, so please be patient as these people do take priority."
