Teamwork impresses judges as Northampton barbershop becomes finalist for national award

A barbershop in Northampton has been named as a finalist for a national hairdressing business award.

Christian Wiles in St Edmund’s Street, just off Wellingborough Road impressed judges with teamwork and decor, among other credentials.

The salon is now in the running to be crowned male grooming salon/barbershop of the year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2020.

Owner Christian Wiles said: “It’s been a challenging year for my business, but it feels incredible to be recognised in these awards – proving that hard work and resilience pays off.

“To see my dream come to life and affect other people in such a positive way is so rewarding.”

The salon also shone brightly with its business growth and turnover figures, and how unique selling points had been highlighted through strong marketing.

Praise was also given for examples of how the team had worked together to achieve amazing results, as well as the decor and service offering.

Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards added: “There’s no denying that it has been a tough few months for hair salons and barbershops but to be named as a finalist in the Male Grooming – Barbershop of the Year category confirms just how exceptional Christian Wiles Hairdressing is.

Christian Wiles Hairdressing, as well G&E McIntryres who have also been shortlisted for a number of awards, will find out if they have achieved the top spot at an awards evening on January 25, 2021 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
