Grants of up to £5,000 are available in Northamptonshire for this week only for businesses that missed out on the Government's Covid-19 relief fund.

Computing firm Salesforce and small business network Enterprise Nation have put up £670,000 to help businesses "get back on their feet".

But the application process means residents in Northamptonshire only have until midnight on June 7 to apply for the grant.

The fund has been set up for registered companies that have been established for more than 12 months and have not received any other cash grant during 2020 from the Government over Covid-19.

It means the private grants are available to any businesses who missed out or did not apply to the Government's Covid-19 business relief grant.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, said: "Taking on debt is not an option for every business, especially now. This grant will open-up opportunities firms might otherwise not be able to afford, such as accessing support to help them pivot, learning how to access customers in new ways and increase skills.

“We’re seeing a growing appetite for businesses to up their digital game as well as adapt to the new ways of working that are emerging.”

However, the grant is only selecting 68 businesses for the grant in "central England" - made up of Northamptonshire as well as West Midlands, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
