Popular independent restaurant in Northampton dubbed ‘one of the best in England’ submits plans to open on Northampton's Market Square

Dan Sushi has submitted plans to open up on the ground floor of 32 Beethoven House, a Grade II listed building on the Market Square, next to Zapato Lounge.

The sushi restaurant, run by Alexei Gavrilenco and Natalia Gavrilenco, currently operates from a smaller property on Spencer Bridge Road, near to the crossroads with Harlestone Road.

The restaurant sells a range of sushi, including classic rolls and some newer options like mango salmon and burrito-style rolls. It also has poke bowls with tuna, salmon, prawns or vegetables, plus hot food like sushi burgers.

The restaurant has been contacted for comment. A target decision date has been set for mid-May by West Northants Council.

The venue has a five-star food hygiene rating and also has an excellent 4.8 out of five-star rating from nearly 300 Google reviews.
