Plans include a potential new Wagamama restaurant on the way to the brand new Market Square refurbishment set to open in summer 2024, and everything in between.

9. Sultan's Kitchen in Wellingborough Road

10. Wagamama plans to open in Sixfields
Proposals to open a new Wagamama restaurant in Sixfields were recently submitted to West Northamptonshire Council (WNC). Planning papers show that Wagamama wants to erect new signs and convert the closed down Firejack’s restaurant into one of its flagship sites. The Restaurant Group, which owns the Wagamama and Firejack brands, has been contacted for comment. Photo: Google
11. Chiquito in Sixfields
Rumours have been spreading that Chiquito could become a new Nando's restaurant. This newspaper contacted The Restaurant Group, which owns the Chiquito brand, asking abut the rumours but the firm declined to comment. Nando's has not yet responded to Chronicle & Echo. Photo: Google
12. Grandbies cafe in St Giles Street
A new luxury coffee shop and boutique called Grandbies is set to open at the former Humpit site in St Giles Street, according to posters in the shop's windows. The poster reads: "Grandbies is the ultimate destination for a unique, unforgettable experience. It's an all-in-one boutique and coffee shop dedicated to the grandchildren of the owner, Marion Brown. We are passionate about providing our customers with a warm retail experience. Come and enjoy our curated selection of items, from vintage-style apparel, designers one offs and unique accessories.
